*Feeling Good*

*We all want to feel good. Don't we?! In fact, to a certain extent, how we feel about a thing or situation helps determine how we act. Feeling good is a basic human emotion and a powerful driving force. It is a basic human need to feel good and want to be healthy. But there is a key factor missing for some people. It seems that the busier you are (for example, too many shifts, working doubles, family and kids) the more important this key is.

So here's the key - BALANCE. Feeling good is about balance. We need to balance the things we know are bad for us, but make us feel good, with the natural things that we don't do enough of and we know are good for us. I am a big advocate of balance and I know the busier you are the tougher it its. It's easy to reach for a cocktail at the end of a busy shift than to listen to a relaxing meditation tape. It's easier to stop at a fast food restaurant than prepare a healthy balanced meal at home. It's easier to reach for a candy bar than a piece of fruit.

So here is my take. I am NOT and advocate of sudden change when it comes to health. We all want to feel good. Enjoy the things that make you feel good that you know are not really good for you. Then, slowly add balance to your life. Learn about things that help you feel good but are not instantaneous. Things such as exercise, deep breathing, stretching, really good nutritious food, supplements and sleep to name a few. Don't try to be perfect because feeling good naturally takes a little longer.

And one more thing, take care of your spine. It protects the nerve system which is the powerhouse of the body. The brain stores some of the best natural 'feel good' chemicals known. The release of these chemicals are coordinated by the nerve system. *Chiropractic adjustments help remove interference from the nerve system which allows your entire body to work better.*
